About Snehalaya

Give us an Opportunity

St. Mary’s Snehalaya Opportunity School is an initiative of the St. Mary’s Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Cathedral, Queen’s Road, Bangalore. The school had its informal beginnings in June 1998. Since the St. Mary’s Public School was already a well-known institution, it was decided to partly make use of its infrastructure for the good of children with special needs.

It was formally registered as St .Mary’s Snehalaya Opportunity School Trust in January 2004.(Reg.No.739/2004).The School is now managed by the St. Mary’s Snehalaya Opportunity School Trust.

The School is registered with the Directorate for Disabled and Senior Citizens under the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Karnataka.

The School gradually established itself with the support of the members of the parish and liberal donations from the general public.
